KDC-HD545U

Long Beach, CA  (July 12, 2010) - Kenwood USA Corporation announced the launch of a  national radio campaign designed to promote the built-in HD Radio™ Technology performance and benefits of the Kenwood KDC-HD545U.

“The popularity of HD Radio Technology has grown tremendously, and coupled with legendary Kenwood audio technology, the performance of this product is stunning,” said Keith Lehmann, Senior Vice President of Kenwood’s Consumer Electronics Sector.  “This promotion will put the attributes of HD Radio Technology squarely on the minds of millions of consumers, and associating it with the brand awareness of Kenwood will surely create a call-to-action that will get consumers visiting authorized Kenwood retailers for a demonstration.”

"Kenwood is a leader in integrating HD Radio Technology into its products,” said Bob Struble, President and CEO of iBiquity Digital. “Kenwood was the first company to bring HD Radio receivers to market. Continuing this tradition by offering digital radio in the competitively priced KDC-HD545U solidifies Kenwood's market leadership position.”

The joint radio campaign, reaching the top 100 US media markets, will focus on the advantages of HD Radio Technology, including iTunes® Tagging and the additional HD2/HD3 digital channels.  The campaign will run from July to September.

Consumers will be encouraged to visit the Kenwood USA website (www.kenwoodusa.com) or the HD Radio website (www.hdradio.com) and check out the details of the promotion.
