Representatives from RPM Electronics have been traveling and competing in events in Washington State for the last few years, always placing very well in the Sound Quality competitions. In the Spring of 2017, MECA event coordinator Steve McIntyre was approached about scheduling an event in B.C. “When Edwin Halim of RPM Electronics approached me with the idea of coordinating a sound quality event in Canada, I was very excited to branch out into this new territory”, says Steve McIntyre of MECA. “Edwin and I spent a few months planning and organizing this event and it was a huge success being the first MECA event in the area”.

Car Fever 2014: Napierville, QC

Written by Jeremy Alan Glover | Photos by Jeremy Alan Glover The annual Car Fever event took place on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Napieville Dragway in Napierville, QC. Each year, it proves to be the car show of the summer! There are other huge shows (Eurokracy, Honda Fest, etc) but for a general show that everybody can enjoy, Car fever is hard to beat. Car Fever really has something for everybody. Their jam-packed Show and Shine was a task the judges both dreaded and looked forward to. The quality of rides gave the attendees something (positive) to talk about.…

Formula Drift Round 6 2011: Las Vegas, NV

Formula D’s Vegas event is one of the most unique events on the circuit. Not only is it the only event which is still run on a skidpad (with entry speeds reaching triple digit mph), but the 110F degree daytime temperatures force the sanctioning body to stage the majority of the race at night. The event is dubbed as the “After Dark” showdown, and this year’s event would prove to run well past midnight before Rhys Millen piloted his Hyundai (like Sunday) Genesis to the win. Joining Millen on the podium was runner-up Darren McNamara and third place winner Matt…

SPOCOM 2012: Anaheim, CA

With another come and gone, another car show in the books; the annual SpoCom Consumer and Tradeshow was held at the Anaheim Convention Center and it did not disappoint. Despite the sweltering heat, the patrons amassed and attended another one of Southern California's premier shows. All the usual suspects were out in full force and some of the newcomers burst on to the scene. Glimpses of the new Scion FR-S were right at the forefront with video game demos and giveaways. The models lounge was packed solid as well, with everyone from international model Christine Barnum to the breakout Geisha…
