WEKFEST JAPAN: The event was held on a Wednesday, which seems a little ridiculous for a large car show to be held in the middle of the week, but it was done so to coincide with the national week-long Golden Week. As such, Wekfest Japan, despite having the show mid-week, attracted thousands of travellers from all over japan to attend the fourth annual event. Some even endured six hours of traffic to make it to the show!

Before attending the show, I had my expectations, as I’ve seen event coverage through social media outlets from previous years, but when I walked through those doors all I could say was, “Extraordinary.” Each vehicle is built with passion and heart, and it showed by the amount of minuscule detail put into each modification.

One thing I would like to point out and was extremely happy about, was the layout of the event. The area was oval shaped with beautiful natural lighting seeping through the glass windows. Vendors were placed around the outside of perimeter, which allowed traffic that wanted to purchase merchandise or speak to representatives at the booths away from the cars. This made it very helpful for any photographer wanting to snap some good shots of the 250-plus cars at the show.

Redline Time Attack 2010 World Finals

The 2010 Redline Time Attack season is officially in the books and the season finale event at Auto Club Speedway was nothing short of spectacular.  With the long off-season looming in the near future, teams went for broke aiming for records, wins, and championships.  Many teams broke in the process, but some teams shined with the opportunity.  One team that has impressed us for years did so again at a track they’re no stranger to dominating.  GST Motorsports and driver Jeff Westphal (aka G-Stig) yet again took the event by storm breaking the previous overall track record set by Billy…

KMS Drift Championship Series 2012: Green Cove Springs, FL

KMS Drift slid back to Green Cove Springs Florida on March 25, 2012 thanks to title sponsor SCION. Rustic raw metal and broken windows were the perfect back drop to this grassroots event.  Special thanks to all our volunteers who put in hundreds of hours to make this venue “driftable”.  Over 40 competitive thrill seekers showed up to make smoke and fine tune their skills.  Winners of the event: Crowd Favorite-Tim Murphy, Driver Favorite-Logan Garcia, Most Smoke-Neil Stevens, Best Ride along-Aaron Messmer, Hard Luck-Steven Purcell, Most Improved-Sammy Shams, KMS Pick/Kiss Ass-Fred Cocklin, Location-Scott Neener, Best 2 Car Tamdem-Eric Cocklin, and…

Slide Canadian Drift Open 2012

Over the weekend one of the biggest events in Canadian drifting took place. The Slide Canadian Drift Open was held at the Icar circuit in Mirabel that’s just north of Montreal. The event combined all the top drivers from the DMCC series and American series as well. With a 1st place winner take all prize of 10 grand plus a track layout that is set to be the fastest drift course in Canada, it was going to be an insane event. Right off the bat the action was crazy. With a crazy high speed entry followed by some tight sweepers…

WaterWerks on the Green 2012

The day was excellent despite about an hour and a half of pouring rain at the beginning of the day. By 9:30am the clouds parted and the sun came out unveiling the gorgeous back drop of Mount Si. (aka Twin Peaks, as Hollywood called it from the 1990’s hit TV show and movie) The early morning rain caused us many challenges throughout the day. Soft ground turned into mud in a few places and we had to reroute traffic and create new entrances. Also the judging for the show portion of the event was re-routed out of the amphitheater. There…
