The Greater Reading Auto Expo featured a jam-packed car show, an SCCA sponsored autocross, captivating motorcycle stunts (by the Anti-Team), and an impressive Drift Camp (by Import Intelligence). The popular Drift Camp allows new driving enthusiasts to learn from experienced professional drivers such as Matt Walden from Import Intelligence, that drive in D1GP, Formula D, DMCC, and US Drift to name a few.

Overall the 2010 CSCS Season Opener was a success, despite the terrible weather conditions race fans and competitors proved that Ontario still has a strong sport compact community and that they are dedicated to seeing CSCS grow. The next stop for the series is “Napierville Dragway” located just south of downtown Montreal on July 10.

On May 2 hundreds of racers and showcars attended the Import Face Off event for some hot girls, cars and smoking 1320 action. The event did not disappoint, just look at the photos!

After noticing no other national Import events were going back to New England this race season, Import Face-Off continued to fill the void by scheduling New England Dragway in 2010.  The event was such a success, Joe Lombardo, New England Dragway manager, has already scheduled the 2nd  annual New England IFO for the same weekend in 2011 and most likely a second one in the fall.

It rained off and on all day at the track, forecast was 100% chance of rain, and it poured down over the entire state.  Even still, the 8th  annual Montgomery Import Face-Off was able to go on with a complete day of racing and close to 1000 in attendance. Josh from Usaci says, “Import Face-Off is the only show that can still draw 900+ people in the pouring rain."

The buzz was all about Brian Lock and the COBB Tuning Nissan GT-R from day one. Lock and COBB Tuning ended the day on top with a blistering fast 1:06.753 in practice.  Crowds gathered to get a chance to witness COBB Tuning make time attack history as the first ever Modified Class car to take an overall event win.

KMS Drift Round 7: Nashville, TN

The bar has been raised for all competitors of the KMS Drift Series. Nashville, TN was the setting for Round 7 and it proved to be the best competition round year to date. 48 drivers from 5 States came out to compete and prove that drifting is alive and well in Nashville, TN.
