The day was excellent despite about an hour and a half of pouring rain at the beginning of the day. By 9:30am the clouds parted and the sun came out unveiling the gorgeous back drop of Mount Si. (aka Twin Peaks, as Hollywood called it from the 1990’s hit TV show and movie) The early morning rain caused us many challenges throughout the day. Drift 4 Cash 2011: Pre Event to the DMCC Season

It was a drift event of unusual circumstance – pro and pro-am drivers mixed together. After qualification it was time for what everyone had shown up for: the top 8 battles. This event was dramatically different; each tandem battle winner would receive cash-in-hand, right on the track – this isn’t the world of giant checks and credit. These are cold-hard, mint oriented Canadian dollars. Rookie professional, Jeff Laflamme, in his V8, S13, qualified at the top of the heap and snagged the most of the loot.
