Do not bother the judges while they are judging your vehicle. Please park where the parking attendants tell you to park. CES 2015: Las Vegas, NV

BACK TO THE FUTURE. The Consumer Electronics Show was a shock to the system. Yes, there were crazy, new innovations shown that might make your life easier and sound better, but I’m talking about the sheer enormity of this place. I have been fortunate enough to do both of the biggest trade shows in the world, in one year. After SEMA, I was under the impression that I was the king of the Las Vegas Convention Center. I’m also a huge nerd, so these were my people. I walked into Central Hall thinking, ‘Let me at ’em! I’ve conquered SEMA…

Texas Heat Wave 2011 - Austin, TX

Texas Heat Wave 2011 certainly lived up to its over 20 year long reputation. Much of Texas has been under an excessive heat wave and drought for months now. Those conditions didn’t stop automotive fans, car clubs, avid competitors, and dedicated spectators along with the who’s who of vendors from facing the extreme Texas 100+ degree heat to make what many call their annual tradition for over 2 decades. The Texas Heat Wave continued its “Texas-Sized”  tradition that brings thousands of fans from all over the country again this year always trying to top how many people they can entertain…

Formula Drift Round 2 2012: Braselton, GA

Formula D returned to the birthplace of the series for the second stop in their ninth season with a bit of a twist for the drivers. The paved horseshoe of the turn 10 complex at Road Atlanta was originally built specifically to accommodate the series, and the FD Judges designed to change the course slightly to facilitate a more technical configuration which encouraged closer tandem. Drivers would still initiate at the end of the back straight at nearly 100 miles an hour, but instead of taking a short trip up the turn 10a hill and transitioning to travel up the…

MECA - AutoFest 2010

The Choctaw Event Center in Durant, OK hosted the Autofest Points Series Final on the weekend of August 7-8th.  Event organizer Tony Goza pulled out all the stops to entertain 110 vehicles at the MECA 3X Triple Points SPL, SQL, and Show & Shine contests.  Sound Creations, the local 12-volt audio, video, and security specialty store owned by Goza, sponsored the awards and orchestrated the event.   Mark Eldridge (Team MBL Sound/JL Audio) won the Best of Best of Show trophy and Points Series Championship and took home over $4000 in prize money.  He won the Zapco SQL Best of…
