MECA Sizzles at The Vinny

Lebanon, TennesseeJuly 11, 2010 The James E. Ward Ag Center & Fairgrounds in Lebanon, TN was shakin’ as MECAheads from 10 states gathered for SQL, SPL, and Show & Shine contests at “The Vinny”. It’s an annual event hosted by MECA Charter Member, Vinny Taylor, who is also one of MECA’s top SQL Judges. VW & Audi Spring Show & Go 2016: Englishtown, NJ

Once again, the 18th Annual VW & Audi Spring Show & Go brought some of the best builders together on one stage - the Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. With dozens of competitions and trophies to be won, from Drag Racing to ‘Best Of’ competitions, there was sure to be a little something for everyone. Import Face-Off 2010: Tulsa, OK

Despite the extreme heat, the 4th annual Tulsa Import Face-Off had the largest overall attendance of all previous events. It was so hot one fan fainted and an ambulance had to be called for aid. The FWD final came down to the exact same match up and outcome as the Kansas City IFO two weeks early. John Tran from Raytown, MO in his 95' Civic Hatch with a 10.797 @ 153.88 mph beat Tony Phoutthavong from Winfield, KS also in a Honda Civic, but only ran a 12.310 @ 138.36 mph.
