WaterWerks on the Green 2012

The day was excellent despite about an hour and a half of pouring rain at the beginning of the day. By 9:30am the clouds parted and the sun came out unveiling the gorgeous back drop of Mount Si. (aka Twin Peaks, as Hollywood called it from the 1990’s hit TV show and movie) The early morning rain caused us many challenges throughout the day. Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge

The 2012 Edition of the World Time Attack Challenge 2012 took place on August 10-11 at Sydney Motorsport Park (formerly Eastern Creek Raceway). Teams from England, New Zealand and Japan joined the Australians in their quest for the lowest track time. The event attracted amateur and professional teams competing with popular road cars that are highly modified (some beyond recognition) for this purpose. Photos by Cliff Wallace In the FWD class, Chris “The Magician” Miller struggled to even qualify as he was forced to back out during the first round due to a leak in the burnout box. For his second, nail-biting attempt, Chris almost hit the wall as his Orange-camo Civic jerked hard left and crossed the center line, which made that pass ineligible as a qualifier.
