Formula Drift Round 2 2012: Braselton, GA

Formula D returned to the birthplace of the series for the second stop in their ninth season with a bit of a twist for the drivers. The 5th annual Cars n Beaches (CNB5) was hosted by iLDS (I Love Driving Slow) at E. G. Simmons Park in Ruskin, FL. Since this was their 2nd year at the E.G. As the field of 35 drivers went out to qualify for the main event, two of the usual suspects were noticeably absent.…

APR Motorsport 1 - 2 at Watkins Glen

“Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.” - Bobby Unser Watkins Glen NY: The race was set to begin with APR Motorsport’s cars in completely unfamiliar territory, the rear of the field.  The Championship Leading car #171 VW DriverGear GTI MK6 suffered an engine related failure shortly before qualifying and was unable to post a time while the #161 Perfect Pedal VW GTI MK5 and the #181 VW DriverGear GTI MK6 both had their qualifying times disallowed due to a minor technical infraction.   This was very disappointing because the #181 GTI of Chris Gleason Jr. had qualified in pole position…
