Kplayground and Maxim Wheels Time Attack
It was the calm after the storm, It had finished raining at about 4:30 pm. The track was soaking wet at the beginning of the lapping, but quickly dried up within an hour. Then it was beautiful out, which made it perfect for a Time Attack.  There was a great turn out, I saw many familiar cars and faces. As always, there is at least one car that screams in your ear, I wish I could have just stopped taking photos and cover my ears every time it came out of a corner. Sadly, I witnessed my first crash at a Kplayground event. The Defcon Racing Integra was coming up to corner Zero, and I think it got a bit of over-steer, and then the driver must have let off the gas making the car snap back and throw him into the wall. The driver came out okay, and he was able to drive the car back into the pits to load it up into the trailer. It’s a shame because I’m willing to bet he would have pulled off the fastest time in his class.

After drivers arrived then would proceed to sign the documents allowing them on the track, and of course paying if they haven’t pre-paid!

The track eventually opened up to allow people to get some lapping in before the event started. There was about 2 hours of lapping for everyone who registered!

That would be Mr. Jon Fiddy right there in his RB26 powered R32. I’ve seen him come out to Drift Days before in Shannonville, and words cannot describe how happy I was when he started drifting!

This is the Integra I mentioned in the earlier paragraph. I swear if he would have finished, he would have come out on top.

Once the Time Attack began you would be flagged by the dancing machine Tony Ho! Seriously, the contestants from “So You Think You Can Dance” have nothing on this guy!

Sadly, the event finally came to an end. I wanted to see some more of Jon’s Skyline sliding around, but that’s not the point! Everyone was here to pull off the best time they could!
