PASMAG Cummins Miata 01

Are you astounded by the images here? Yeah, us too. Those are renderings mind you, but the idea is just so outlandish that you just have to love it. The guys at Pistonhead Productions are taking on the mad task of jamming a 4BT 3.9L I-4 Cummins turbo-diesel engine into an NA chassis Mazda Miata. Why? For a good cause.

Jacob Gettins, who’s helming this project, was inspired to work on cars from learning the basics in his highschool shop class. After seeing the decline of the program and lack of funding at the highschool in his community, he put this whole thing together to raise money for future gearheads. Once completed, the “Soot Salon” will be toured around different events in North America to show off and compete in drift. To date, the build has raised over $10,000 and will be taking place this June! Stay tuned for more coverage on this exciting project.
