It only seemed right that when performance powerhouse, AEM was looking to build a project car and wanted to team up with an audio manufacturer they contacted us. The irony was that we are 3000-miles away in Toronto and were hooking them up with long-time PAS pal Kevin Kuenzie over at Clarion USA, which is only like 30-miles away from AEM.

For whatever reason, there are many people in the industry out there that believe we are from California. It makes sense because most of the magazines on the scene are based in SoCal and we are there all of the time. Our Canadian patriotism often slips under the radar (unless it involves hockey, the [ … ]

There are key industry people out there that say you’re only as good as your shop car build. This mantra is repeated over and over and will drive companies to true greatness just to out-do their rivals. So each year at SEMA, we see project after mind-bending project that blows away what the company [ … ]

Most of you younger cats may not have heard of the classic TV show, ‘The Six Million Dollar Man,’ but wherther you know it or not, it’s influential concept relates to many enthusiasts. It was a simple low budget show with effects that would get laughed off the screen today, starring B-list actor Lee [ … ]

The most striking feature is the S15 front end swap on this S14 Kouki. The Origin parts are joined with 20mm front over-fenders which are vented. The Origin front bumper, sideskirts and rear bumper are complimented BN Sports 50mm rear over-fenders. Ever gotten stuck watching lame TV shows that your sister, girlfriend or wife want to watch instead of something legit? I might have some guilty pleasures like the first few American Idols that mock all the idiots seeking stardom, but after nearly a year of cable TV-abstinence I finally gave in and [ … ]

Dennis_optI know what you are thinking. “Oh golly gee, I’m so friggin’ ecstatic to see another 240 with Silvia parts, I can barely contain myself.” Don’t worry, it isn’t weird, I get like that once a month like PMS. But see one build that is funky and a bit outside the trends is always welcome in my inbox. Oh [ … ]

Truth be told there are a load of hacks out there masquerading as aerokit manufacturers. Notice, I did not say bodykit because well... the difference is some parts are just for appearance. Aerokits on the other hand have been painstakingly refined in wind tunnels and on tracks to ensure they meet pe [ … ]

It’s rare to find a genuine car enthusiast these days. Especially one who didn’t come from money or whose father wasn’t a former mechanic. Back in the 80s, the cars coming out of Audis’ plants were fairly mundane. Before the Audi 5000, the cars being produced looked archaic compared to other manufacturers. The lines were boring, they were underpowered and reliability was in question. My old man used to have an Audi 100, an awkward look [ … ]

Designed and built by Squires Turbo Systems (STS), they have entered the wildly popular Scion market and are being embraced by it. Once ridiculed for being too unorthodox, the STS remote turbo systems have distinct advantages of over conventional setups, the majority being heat dissipation.

Man, Scion did something right over at their Long Beach headquarters. The company once criticized for its lack of exciting cars since the demise of the Supra, MR2 and Turbo Celica has sure pulled out the creative energy light sabre and then ripped the competition a new one. Sure the Scions aren’t mu [ … ]

Back in the late ’90s and through the new millennium, the battle for FWD supremacy was quite heated.
