The mastermind Known as Frank Spezzano is the man behind PAS Magazine. Dedicated to his passion (and possibly world domination), our fearless leader spends every waking hour working on ways to gat PAS to the next level. But be warned, this short-tempered ‘tourtured genius’ rules the office with an iron fist and only knows one speed… full throttle! A number of previous PAS employees are still missing to this day, so unless you want to join them on the back of a milk carton, we suggest you stay on Frank’s good side.

Tim Rutledge - General Manager

Vehicle: Pontiac Wave
The former leader of our sister publication Performance Racing News, Mr. Rutledge has returned with a vengeance. This IT maven who handles all our daily operations, is the “hard drive” pushing Performance Publications to new heights. Possibly the only Pink Floyd fan in history never to taste “wacky tabacky”, he keeps the office moving with his powerful solo singing efforts. His lot in life is to bring to reality the many ideas that stream from the fertile mind of our publisher on an hourly basis.

MARK PEREIRA – Editor In-Chief

Vehicles: Nissan 350Z / Audi A4 1.8T / Nissan Maxima
The Brazilian Bad Boy is the number-one chief rocker now at PAS and that’s probably why his garage is the most extensive ‘cause he lives the life. Each of his whips have been modified in many ways and serve different purposes for life in the fast lane. When he’s not rolling into the office in any one of his three custom cars, he can often be found using his tuned PR skills, planning innovative editorial content and promoting the PAS annual Waterfest Kruize. After work, it’s all about the After-hours for Mark who puts in as many hours at the clubs as he does in the office.

DAVE PANKEW – Editorial Director

Vehicles: Nissan Skyline GT-R, BMW 740i Sport
Resident gearhead Dave “Hollywood” Pankew drops automotive knowledge 24/7 and his weapons of choice are a legendary Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 for the track and a dubbed-out 7-series as a daily driver. When he’s not tearing it up in one of his street missiles or wrenching on them, our boy Pankezzie can be found hunting down hot features and working on tech articles for upcoming issues. His expertise as former Editor In-Chief at Modified Magazine (2002-2006) made him a very welcome addition to the PAS team and our go-to-guy for hardcore performance projects. And when it comes to rockin’ out, no one can touch DP’s alter-ego simply known as ‘Hypeman,’ a Guitar-Hero possessed personality that refuses to play anything but Iron Maiden.

MATTHEW ADOLFO – Director of Sales & Marketing

As the unofficial PAS Social Director, Matthew is the glue keeping our tight-knit crew together. As one of the longest tenured members of the staff, Mr. Hook-Up has been here from our humble beginnings to our current status as an industry heavyweight. A natural born hustler, Matthew is the lead of the sales team and can usually be found cruising the streets in his Solstice drop-top.

JP KONGAS – Sales Executive

Vehicle: 2007 Mazda 3
This Latin-lover always leans like a cholo and bears an uncanny resemblance to King of Cars TV-star Chopper. But instead of chop choppin’ car deals, JPK ‘chops’ advertising and marketing campaigns with his own unique style and mad skills. When he first started working here, the marketing hype we heard was he owned a new M3… we later found out that’s what he calls his Mazda 3 (we simply call it weak-sauce).

SHANE CHATTERGOON – Marketing and Sales/12-Volt

Vehicle: Honda Prelude SR-V
The ‘Goon’ or his more Latin-American persona ‘Goon-berto,’ first exploded onto the mobile audio scene several years ago as the knowledgeable 12-Volt Coordinator. Shane’s no-fear approach and ability to turn any gathering into a party makes him a double threat... just ask any US or Canadian Customs Agent.

RANDI BENTIA – Event / Model Coordinator

Vehicle: Honda Civic
Those of you who have visited the PAS booth at Hot Import Nights or any major event for that matter should be familiar with Randi, as his work on the bullhorn at shows is unparalleled. The avid snowboarder also holds the envious title of Model Coordinator and often finds himself in a new city (and meeting new girls) every week. Life can be tough… but someone’s got to do it.

Trevor Lavigne – Production / Online Content Manager

Vehicle: 1981 VW Scirocco
Our boy Trevor has proven to be a welcome addition to the PAS team. As the first line of defense in the art room this man simply can’t be bought and keeps things running smooth as a Vanilla Frosty (his hip-hop street name). Although he consistently denies the rumors he’s the slacker brother of Canadian pop star sensation Avril Lavigne, we’ve seen him use that line on the ladies and to get up in the VIP. When it’s late in the game, this self-proclaimed “man with the plan” always has an ace up his sleeve.

QUEUE‘Q’ GONZALEZ – Creative Director

Vehicle: Eagle Talon
It usually takes celebrity status to be known simply by one name, unless you’re our oh-so-stylish senior art director. The talented ‘Q’ works his magic like a skilled plastic surgeon, as we often crowd around his desk in hopes of spotting the many sexy model photos he spends his days editing and designing. A true professional and always dressed to the nines, Queue will openly challenge Derek Zoolander to a ‘walk off’ anytime, anywhere.

BRIAN PIROCCHI – Design / Production

Vehicle: Acura RSX
The Italian Stallion is entertaining to say the least and his legendary freestyle battle rhymes still stand undefeated. If you got beef, B-RAD is always ready to barbeque! His hard work ethic, dedication to his craft and energy-drink addiction are unparalleled. This much-loved unpredictable and creative funny-man is one of the top reasons we all come to work each day.

PATRICK DINGLASAN – Design / Production

Vehicle: Acura Integra GSR, 95' Civic CX
Although his classic bubble-back Civic is starting to show its age, Patrick isn’t giving up on it just yet. He is also the man behind our PAS Project Integra GSR, armed with an arsenal of upgrades and a massive turbo. Rumour has it he’s trashed more than one stage with his guitar, combine that with his willingness to hit the autocross, and P. Diddy is easily one of the most talented individuals in the office.

EDWARD SHINTANI – Design / Production

Vehicle: 06' Subaru WRX
Often found lurking behind his Mac and always sporting his signature camouflage cap, Edward is a man of few words around the office. Some say he’s a guerilla mercenary working undercover, other’s say he’s a descendent of a secret ninja clan… No matter what his story may be, we all know ‘Eddie Machete’ puts G.I. Joe to shame when it comes to number of missions accomplished.

PATRICK BELTIJAR – Design / Production

The silent assassin has an understated style with razor sharp efficiency when it comes to the designs he cranks out. As one of the youngest in the PAS crew, the man we’ve grown to know simply as PB is just as smooth as a fresh jar of Skippy… especially with the ladies

ARNOLD ADOLFO – Office Manager

Vehicle: Subaru Impreza
Once the proud owner of the only minivan in our parking lot, our boy Arnie recently ditched the family-hauler in favor of a Subaru Impreza and never looked back. Much like Master Yoda, this ‘faja’ keeps us youngsters in check with his questionable words of wisdom and knack for electronics and gadgets. As our unofficial army-of-one IT department, Mr. Incredible is the man we’ve all come to depend on.

MICHELLE FORSYTH – Administrative Director

Michelle’s witty humour and ultra-organized nature keeps our nearly chaotic office running smoothly and efficiently. If you’ve got a question, Michelle always has an answer – there’s just no guaranteeing that you’ll actually like it. 

CAROL FRANCESCHINIS – Subscriptions Manager

Vehicle: Chevrolet Cobalt SS
This avid Ferrari race fan often puts up with our office antics is a perfect fit for our octane-fueled atmosphere. As the authority for handling PAS subscriptions, you can bet Carol’s the first to blame when magazines aren’t delivered on time or if your personal information finds its way into the hands of lonely PAS staff.
