KICKER Performance Audio announces an agreement with Ford Motor Company to bring an extra level of excitement to Ford Fiesta. Customers will now have the option to add a world renowned KICKER Performance Audio Subwoofer as an accessory from authorized Ford dealers.

Through a collaborative integration between KICKER design engineers and Ford’s Custom Accessories Group, a vehicle-specific 200 watt powered subwoofer upgrade was developed. This is the second offering from Kicker following the announcement of the products for F-150.

“The Ford Custom Accessories team is thrilled to offer Fiesta customers the KICKER Livin’ Loud® experience,” said Ford Custom Accessories Planning Manager Richard Anderson. “The system upgrade is a completely integrated solution, far superior to the generic ‘box and subs’ that are available in the market. This is a huge win for our customers, especially since this is the only way to get a Ford authorized Subwoofer in the Fiesta.”

“What better way to add to the fun of a Ford Fiesta than to give it that extra ‘kick’ from a tuned Kicker Subwoofer.  It’s a winning combo!” said KICKER Company Founder and President, Steve Irby.

“The KICKER and Ford collaboration bring competitive advantages and illustrate the democratization of traditional product development,” said John Waraniak, vice president, Vehicle Technology for the Specialty Equipment Market Association, SEMA. “Automakers and aftermarket companies that do not know how to apply collaborative value-chain practices will be beaten by those who do.”

The KICKER Vehicle-Specific Audio System upgrades consist of a rugged 10-inch subwoofer in a tough, custom-molded enclosure made to fit in the trunk so not to take up valuable trunk space. The subwoofer is powered by an integrated 200 Watt RMS, high-efficiency digital amplifier that is precisely tuned to specifically match the size of the enclosure.

“Open innovation and connecting vehicles to consumers lifestyles and experiences are driving automakers and aftermarket companies to new levels of collaboration and profitability,” said Waraniak.

Performance audio with KICKER attitude has been engineered to Ford standards, matched to each specific vehicle environment and backed by Ford’s factory warranty. When installed at the time of new car purchase, Ford Genuine Accessories are covered under the 3-year/36,000-mile Bumper to Bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty, otherwise warranty coverage is 12 months/12,000 miles (whichever occurs first) or the remaining portion of the Ford New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever is greater.
