The Interview

Q: Where are you from?

Southern California, Long Beach to be exact. I don’t think I can ever leave this place.

Q: How long have you been modeling for?

Let’s see, if I told you that would age me…about 6 years.

Q: How did you get your start in modeling? Were you discovered?

I was discovered while working in a retail store. Mary J. Castillo (you may know her as MJ) got me started and the rest is history.

Q: What would you say are your strengths as a model?

My nationality. People can never pinpoint what I am. Being mixed helps me to appeal to all different crowds.

Q: Describe yourself in three words or statements.

Down to earth, compassionate, hard-working

Q: What are some of you modeling highlights so far?

The traveling is awesome. I have been fortunate enough to work all over the States and even overseas. Some of the places I’ve seen are Wisconsin, Miami, Nashville, Salt Lake City, Austin, and even as far away as Germany.

Q: Does your personality match your Zodiac sign? Describe.

Yes and no. Libra’s symbol is the scales. With that said, I am indecisive and changeable.  I’m very sensitive to the needs of others, yet I will argue till I get my point across. I am very easygoing but I do like to be in control of situations.

Q: Tell us your likes or dislikes about modeling?

You already know I love the traveling but another aspect of modeling is being able to interact with the people who attend the events. The companies I represent have their own following and fans and it’s a real honor to get to talk with them and eventually know them.

Q: What is your best beauty secret?

Drink lots of water and get plenty of sleep, especially if you have a job coming up.

Q: How do you keep in such great shape?

I was blessed with small genes. I do work out here and there, but am usually too busy to hit the gym. When I don’t have time to workout I make sure to eat well.

Q: What was the first major event that you modeled at? What made it most memorable to you?

For me, SEMA 2004 was my first major event. I knew it would be a long week but I didn’t know what to expect. There was so much going on, it was a little overwhelming. I wasn’t 21 yet, and I remember people giving me a hard time for not being able to hang out with them after the show each night.

Q: What traits do you like most about yourself?

I am a very down to earth person. I have become more independent and self-motivated recently. I am very genuine and kind.

Q: Do you have any pets? What kind?

I have three dogs. A creamed colored English golden retriever, a yellow lab, and a Pit/Shepherd mix.

Q: What are your hobbies? Any hidden talents you'd like to share with the world?

I would like to say I’m a collector but from looking at all the random stuff I have, it looks more like I’m a pack rat.

Q: What is your favorite food?

Dessert. The first thing I do at a restaurant is look at the dessert menu. But other than sweets, my mom’s home cooking.

Q: Who is your favorite recording artist and genre of music?

I’m pretty open to all genres of music but my all time favorite artists are John Legend and Justin Timberlake (I even have his Marionette puppet doll).

Q: Do you have any weird habits that no one else knows about?

I rub my feet together while watching TV. Doing this also helps me fall asleep. Wow, that sounds really weird saying that out loud.

Q: What’s the best prank you ever played on someone?

I’m not a prankster, but I did tape up someone’s car in packaging tape to get back at them for pulling a prank on me first. Sometimes we have to entertain ourselves on the road.

Q: What is your dream car?

I’m simple when it comes to cars. I don’t need a fancy sports car. A simple Range Rover will do ;-)

Q: What do you look for in a guy? What would he have to do to get your attention and to keep you interested?

I like genuine guys who don’t pretend to be someone in the beginning and then all of a sudden change. He definitely has to make me laugh.

Q: How do you feel about pick-up lines? What was the best line that was used on you? Did it work?

Pick-up lines are cute but I can honestly say I don’t think one has ever worked on me.

Q: What do you wear to bed?

I can’t tell you that. It ruins the imagination.

Q: What item of clothing or accessory makes you feel the sexiest?

There’s something about lace that does it for me.

Q: What do you most value in your friends?

Their loyalty. I know I can count on my friends to be there through anything. My friends are also crazy and out of control sometimes. But I love it because I’m more laid back and we balance each other out.

Q: Who are your heroes in real-life? Why?

My mom and dad. They both did everything they could for my brother and I to make sure we had the best childhood.

Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

I’d want to be able to jump like in the movie “The Jumper”. I’d be able to go anywhere in the world in no time.

Q: Tell us about any upcoming projects of yours?

Since I am signed with Falken Tire this year, I will be traveling with Formula Drift, American Le Mans Series and AMA Supercross.

Q: With any ‘spotlight’ type of job, you are looked upon as a role model. What advice would you give out to aspiring models?

Don’t stop doing what you love. Always be true to yourself.

Q: Do you have any shout outs or last words?

I want to say I love you and thank you for the support to my Mommy, Daddy, Brother and my ginormous family and to my friends (too many to name). You are ALL the best! Thank you to my Falken Tire family and all the companies I have worked with because you have done so much for me and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you all. And thank you PAS magazine for making me a part of your family.
