Many new vehicles equipped with a factory Engine Stop Start (ESS) feature do not include a turn-off. Although this feature is meant to save fuel and reduce emissions, the annoyance of your engine turning off at every stop sign is too much for some. Especially larger motors where the engine noise turning on and off is quite loud, and you feel a strong vibration every time the engine cranks again.
