If you live your life a quarter-mile at a time, 2016 was quite the eventful quarter mile. From the initial acceleration to the blaring red brake lights, 2016 has taken (Bowie, Prince, Harambe [a prince in his own right], and many others), but given us so much to be thankful for in this insane scene/hobby/lifestyle that we all can’t seem to quit. Modifying and tuning, all things considered, are the best addictions to have after all.
I swear - these years go by faster with each passing one, like someone has been building the motor on time, and in 2016, they finally cracked four digits in power numbers. It seemed like last SEMA had just ended, and the next one was just around the corner, leaving a blur of a 2016 in between for us. That’s why we like Tuning 365. It gives us, as well as you, the chance to sit back and look at everything that happened in our little world during the past year. If you’re familiar with our yearbook, you’ll know we base our year from SEMA to SEMA (November to October). So, if you’re new to the whole thing: yes, we do know how a calendar works, we just work ours a little different is all! And if you’re looking for SEMA 2016 coverage, you’ll get that in spades next issue, I promise.
In the meantime, kick back with a cup of cocoa or nog (it’s about that time) and peruse our curated list of the best builds, hottest events, and some of the greatest ingenuity in any form of engineering circle. The stories in this book range from grocery-getters turned showstoppers, to purpose-built cars for tearing up the track or someone’s eardrums. On top of all that goodness, we also loaded each piece of paper with more pop culture tidbits than you can shake a pair of Yeezys at. We’ve got all the movie, music, and sneakerhead releases from 2016 on lock, plus all the headlines that mattered to us this year.
