Precision Turbo & Engine has introduced a new turbocharger lineup for Volkswagen MK7 Golf and MQB applications, with Stage 1 and Stage 2 options rated for up to 575 and 700 horsepower, respectively.
Both turbochargers use Precision’s Next Gen CEA compressor technology, a high-flow 56mm CEA turbine wheel, a water-cooled dual ceramic ball-bearing center cartridge, and an investment-cast HK30 stainless-steel turbine housing.
The Stage 1 turbocharger is rated for up to 575 horsepower and uses a 50mm compressor wheel with a 50mm inducer and 69mm exducer. Its OEM-style VW IS20/IS38 housing and compressor cover allow it to serve as a direct drop-in replacement without adapters or modifications. Precision says the Stage 1 is compatible with OEM-style turbo inlets.
For builds requiring more airflow, the Stage 2 increases output capability to 700 horsepower and uses a larger 56mm compressor wheel with a 56mm inducer and 76mm exducer. It also features a ported-shroud compressor cover with a 3.5-inch inlet and 1.8-inch outlet.
Both versions use the same 56mm CEA turbine wheel, measuring 65mm at the inducer and 56mm at the exducer. Installation accessories and a blow-off valve are included, while the wastegate actuator is sold separately.
Precision says customer field testing of both versions has been completed. The Stage 1 and Stage 2 MK7 Golf turbochargers carry a one-year warranty and are intended for off-road use only; they are not legal for use on public roads.
