Team Tensei brought Daikoku Tensei Style back to Hickory, North Carolina, for its second year on September 6, 2026, and while Mother Nature presented a few challenges, the weather wasn't enough to keep the cars or spectators away.
Team Tensei events have developed a reputation for bringing together an eclectic mix of JDM builds, modded cars and enthusiast culture, and the 2026 edition of Daikoku Tensei Style delivered plenty of variety.
Supras and Civics spanning multiple generations were joined by several widebody Honda S2000s, built Acura NSXs, Nissan Stageas, right-hand-drive imports and even a Japanese van. VIP-style builds were represented alongside a strong turnout of Subaru WRXs and STIs, while Euro builds added another dimension to the show field.
The variety extended well beyond the import scene. Bagged Mustangs, a supercharged Corvette, a C8 Stingray, built Camaros, classics and muscle cars helped round out the hundreds of vehicles on display.
Rain came and went throughout the event, but a couple thousand spectators still made their way out to explore the show field, visit the vendors and spend the day with fellow enthusiasts.
Following successful events in 2025 and 2026, Daikoku Tensei Style looks well on its way to becoming an annual fixture on the enthusiast calendar.
