John Sharkey's 1991 Nissan Laurel is equipped with a VS aero kit, Nismo LMGT3 3-piece wheels, massive Blitz intercooler to feed air to the RB25DET NEO motor that's mated to an R34 transmission and Nissan R200 differential among other impressive modifications. But there's a specific part on Sharkey's Laurel that was trending on our feeds, maybe for obvious reasons or something else.
Sharkey revamped his glow plate to this old period correct New York ‘Liberty’ plate, with reflective white background and with New York In Japanese writing across the top. His friend, Anthony CNC’ed a chunk of aluminum and John filled it with blue resin. He then upgraded the light box to LED strips, and the effect is perfect with matching StreetGlow neon underglow.
It's a cool little mod with awesome effect.
As seen on PASMAG's Tuning 365 (Season 3 Episode 5) on REV TV.
