Summit Racing Street & Strip Racing Oil

Summit Racing Oil

Here at PASMAG, we preach the valued of synthetic lubricants. Modifying nature’s molecules have resulted in a wide array of benefits for the enthusiast. Things like superior wear protection, longer drain intervals as well as resistance to oxidation and sludge are several of the key benefits of synthetics compared to lubrication. We have even debunked all of the myths that have perpetuated about synthetics, yet there still are some drivers who opt for mineral oil changes. However, we know why this is and if you have ever been strapped for cash, you know a pricey semi-synthetic oil change is last on your list. However, Summit Racing hopes to change all of that.

A Midwestern parts distribution powerhouse, Summit Racing has come to market with many different house label products. We reviewed some last year that were both innovative and convenient, but this time around they have a new take on a popular product: semi-synthetic lubricants to protect your motor.

The Summit Racing Street & Strip premium semi-synthetic racing oil aims to offer protection for high performance cars for much less than the competition. The Street & Strip formula combines the best properties of synthetic-based oils with special additives containing 1,800ppm (parts per million) of zinc and phosphorous (ZDDP). These additives offer levels of protection that your conventional mineral motor oil just cannot rival. Additionally, the special proprietary shear-stable polymers will help maintain viscosity and resist breakdown. The added protection will reduce oil consumption and provides excellent protection against harsh metal-to-metal contact.

The Street & Strip® semi-synthetic racing oil is ideal for all high-rpm racing, performance, street and even marine applications. Great for modern engines and turbocharged cars, Summit Racing has also engineered the formula to work well as classic, vintage and muscle car engines using flat tappet camshafts. Currently offered in a 10W40 and a 20W50, more weights are currently in development.

The Street & Strip® semi-synthetic premium racing oil exceeds all known manufacturers’ warranty requirements and meets A.P.I. SL quality standards. They insist all manufacturers’ recommended oil change intervals are met for optimum engine performance. At less than $6 a quart, it is semi-synthetic piece of mind for the price of mineral oil!
