STRI DSD Series & X-Line Gauges

Available in two different series, the DSD-series and X-Line, both provide hardcore enthusiasts with the features and accuracy they demand. The precision, performance and durability of the new STRI gauges are elevated, yet the price-point remains very competitive.

It wasn’t so long ago that choices for gauges were severely limited. Sure, low-cost units were available, but they were more for show and lacked accuracy and features. If you are not on the ragged-edge of tune a slight variation might slip by, but for highly-tuned cars every increment could mean the difference between high performance and total destruction. STRI USA was set up by Auto Tech Interiors (ATI) to offer a full line of racing gauges to compliment their massive lineup of gauge pods and accessories. For 2010, STRI has upped the ante and made significant improvements to bring the line to an even higher level.

Available in two different series, the DSD-series and X-Line, both provide hardcore enthusiasts with the features and accuracy they demand. The precision, performance and durability of the new STRI gauges are elevated, yet the price-point remains very competitive. We asked STRI USA Marketing Manager, Marc Masusda, to walk us though the features of these new lines. “The precision of the DSD and X-Line is improved over our legacy products,” says Masuda “The features and look of the new gauge is also something once reserved for more high-end gear, but STRI has changed the rules.”

The DSD-series racing gauges offer all of the functions a performance car requires. It offers user-definable warnings and recall functions in addition to auto-calibration. The gauge can be ordered in four different styles (including popular blacked-out) white or amber LED lighting and either 52mm or 60mm diameters. The gauges offered measure boost (2 or 3 bar), EGT, oil pressure, oil temperature, water temp, vacuum, tachometer, voltage and fuel pressure.  Driven by a rugged stepper motor, the DSD-series inform the driver of the engine vitals with extreme accuracy. Controlled by an advanced microprocessor, the DSD gauges are the latest technology and offer the following:

- Full electronic
- User Preset Warning
- Peak Recall
- Auto Self Calibration
- 270 Degree Sweep
- Short circuit auto detect
- Sequential open / closing mode
- LED Dimmer function
- All sensors included
- Water-proof harness

The alternative to the DSD is the newly launched  V2 Series, a more affordable line with similar features. As the latest model from STRI, it uses an advanced microprocessor and is equally responsive, reliable and precise as the DSD line. V2 Series gauges are available in both standard sizes 52mm and 60mm and in a choice of either a black dial or smoked lens, either amber or white LED illumination. Gauges available in this line are boost (2 or 3 bar), EGT, oil pressure, oil temperature, water temp, vacuum, tachometer, voltage and fuel pressure.

- Full electronic
-Factory Preset Warning
- 270 Degree Sweep
- Start-up open mode
- LED Dimmer function
- High brightness LED
- All sensors included
- Water-proof harness

With so many choices in the aftermarket gauge sector, ATI and STRI USA is an all-in-one solution that makes sense. Their wide array of SRTI gauges can be sunk into one of their ATI e-pod enclosures for a speedy gauge addition. The precision to price ratio on the SRTI gauges is impressive, making the DSD-Series and V2 Series worth a very serious look.
