Conor Shanahan earned his second victory of the 2026 Formula DRIFT PRO season at Evergreen Speedway, closing to within five points of championship leader James Deane with two rounds remaining.

Formula DRIFT returned to Evergreen Speedway for Round 6 of the 2026 PRO Championship, with Conor Shanahan taking the win under the lights and moving to within five points of championship leader James Deane with two rounds remaining.
Deane started the weekend on top, qualifying first with an 87.8-point run in the O'Reilly / Pennzoil Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD. Conor Shanahan qualified second, followed by Branden Sorensen in third and Jack Shanahan in fourth.
Deane's weekend ended in the Top 16 against Matt Field after a late transition caused him to miss Zone 3. Despite the early exit, Deane retained the championship lead with 164 points.
Aurimas "Odi" Bakchis also suffered an early exit after engine trouble forced him out in the Top 32. The result dropped Bakchis from second to fifth in the championship standings.
Shanahan defeated rookie Cody Buchanan in the Top 8 before meeting Branden Sorensen in the Final 4. The pair needed a One More Time battle to decide the matchup, with Sorensen eventually making a mistake during the transition into Zone 3. Sorensen's third-place finish moved him into third in the championship standings.
Fredric Aasbo reached the Final after eliminating Jack Shanahan in the Top 8 and Matt Field in the Final 4. The three-time Formula DRIFT champion entered Seattle seventh in points and moved to sixth overall with his runner-up finish.
In the Final, Shanahan defeated Aasbo to secure his second win and third podium of the season. The victory moved Shanahan from fifth to second in the championship standings with 159 points, leaving him just five behind Deane heading into Las Vegas.
Cole Richards remained the leading PRO rookie after finishing tenth in Seattle and holds a 31-point advantage over Cody Buchanan in the Rookie title chase.
Ford continues to lead the 2026 Formula DRIFT Auto Cup with 280 points, followed by Toyota with 223. GT Radial remains atop the Tire Cup standings with 376 points, ahead of Nitto with 280.
Next Round
Round 7 of the 2026 Formula DRIFT PRO Championship heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 24-26, where the PRO teams will be joined by the Link ECU PROSPEC Championship for its Final Round 4.
