Tuner Evolution returned to North Carolina for the first time in several years on September 27, 2026, bringing its indoor automotive showcase back to the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center in Concord.
Local builders arrived with vehicles that ranged from familiar favourites to builds that had rarely, if ever, appeared at area events. Clubs and crews also came out in force, filling the venue with their top cars.
The selection covered nearly every corner of modified car culture. Right-hand-drive JDM vehicles shared the show floor with high-horsepower and custom domestic builds, VIP-style sedans, bagged Euro cars, KDM builds, exotics and motorcycles.
Performance-focused builds included big-turbo cars and race-ready machines equipped with parachutes and extensive carbon-fibre components. Custom widebody vehicles were also well represented, while creative lighting helped several builds stand out inside the arena.
One of the show’s most memorable cars was a rotary-powered Mazda RX-7 fitted with carbon-fibre door panels. Its owner made one thing clear: the car will always retain a rotary engine.
A DJ provided music throughout the day, while models made their way around the venue for photos with their favourite vehicles.
Team Tensei earned the Best Team Overall award, while a carbon-fibre, track-ready Honda Civic EG hatchback took home Best of Show.
