Wilwood’s new brake kit for the 1991-1996 Mazda RX-7

Wilwood Engineering has recently introduced a front brake kit for the 1991-1996 Mazda RX-7 that features the latest in disc brake technology. This track-tested kit not only provides better street performance, but also huge improvements over the original brakes on the track where consistency counts.

Wilwood’s base brake kit offers performance braking solutions for the third generation RX-7s. The kit features Wilwood’s Superlite six-piston differential bore, radial mount calipers that clamp down on oversized 12.88” diameter GT slot pattern vented rotors. The kit, part number 140-11963, comes with aluminum hats, mounting brackets and all necessary hardware for an easy, bolt-on installation. Optional items for the kit include SRP drilled and slotted rotors, and/or red powder coated calipers. For extreme performance applications, a 14.00” kit, part number 140-11964, is also available.

Wilwood BP-10 high performance street pads round out the kit. Other brake pad compounds, including those for off-road applications, are also available.

The kit’s installation requires only a minor modification to the brake line bracket, and the stainless steel braided flexline kit, part number 220-7010, is necessary and must be ordered separately.

All of Wilwood’s performance brake kits are loaded with cutting edge technology built on years of domination in world motorsports. This kit will not only exceed your braking demands, on and off the track, but also enhance the appearance of your Mazda RX-7.
