Porsche purists, look away. ENEOS is bringing two V8-swapped 911s to the 2026 SEMA Show, and neither is sticking with the traditional flat-six formula. Jimmy Oakes’ 1978 Porsche 911 SC packs a Ferrari-built Maserati V8, while Faruk Kugay’s 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 has traded its previous Subaru STI engine swap for an LS2 V8 built for drifting.
At the RAYS Wheels Takeover in SEMA’s Silver Lot, Oakes will display his 911 SC, known as the Porrari. Originally a narrow-body 911, the car has been transformed into a widebody build powered by a Ferrari-built Maserati F136 flat-plane-crank V8. The engine features custom individual throttle bodies using components from the BMW M3’s S65 V8, 3D-printed adapters, Link ECU engine management, and a fabricated exhaust system. A Porsche 996 transmission handles power delivery, while custom Stance Suspension coilovers replace the original torsion bar suspension.
The Porsche’s Japanese influences include period-correct 17-inch Volk Racing VRX-10 wheels, paired with custom metal widebody fenders, a carbon fiber roof, and ENEOS livery. The build made its public debut at Formula DRIFT Round 4 earlier this year and will be displayed at ENEOS booth #22811 within the RAYS activation.
Meanwhile, Kugay will perform drift demonstrations in his 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 at the Optima driving exhibition in SEMA’s Bronze Lot. Previously displayed at SEMA with a Subaru STI EJ25 engine swap, the 997-generation Porsche now features a 6.0L LS2 V8 with LS3 cylinder heads, producing a claimed 458 hp. The build also features a Porsche 996 Turbo transmission, Wisefab front angle kit, and VAD Design GT3R widebody conversion.
ENEOS is also offering attendees a chance to participate in a passenger ride-along with Kugay through a promotion on its Instagram account. Entrants must be over 21 and possess SEMA credentials.
At AAPEX 2026, ENEOS will introduce its new Import CVT Fluid Model S High Torque, developed specifically for Subaru Lineartronic CVT transmissions. The product will be displayed at booth #V3665 in the Venetian Expo.
SEMA takes place November 3–6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, while AAPEX runs November 3–5.
