PASMAG Unboxing: Grassroots Complete Bolt-On Universal 19-Row Oil Cooler Kit

This Hot New Product comes courtesy of our friends at Grassroots Performance. We were pretty excited to see what we got in this box. They've included everything you're going need to install a universal oil 19-row oil cooler kit. We've got some braided lines with AN fittings. Something new I know about Grassroots oil coolers is now they come with these super cool CNC cut and "Made in Canada" mounting brackets. The oil cooler core has their signature "G" on the side. It also includes a Grassroots branded sandwich plate, and of course, the fittings to attach your oil filter to the sandwich plate. And lastly, the mounting hardware. With this entire kit, you get a 19-row oil cooler, -10 AN 90° fittings, swivel fittings on both braided line sets, an oil block adapter plate, universal oil cooler bracket, and then the filter adapters for all of this.

These coolers can be used for a variety of oil types and they increase cooling efficiency and your oil capacity by about 0.38 liters. This is for street and track applications so the thermostatic plate will open around 174 degrees, and this setup allows your vehicle to maintain optimal operating temperatures at all times. If your vehicle is not in constant demand of added oil cooling, the thermostatic valve will remain shut and your oil will operate as normal with no interruption. With heavy load and increased temperature occurring, the automatic valve will allow the oil to flow through the cooler and reduce the temperature to peak your performance. One nice thing that Grassroots has done is include this pre-cut bracket and this gives you all sorts of mounting options and it is nice enough that you can go around the fittings. So once you're hooked up to your ANs and everything, this is still going work. You can mount this however you like: within your bumper, on the side of your engine bay, or wherever you can make it work ultimately.

Another nice thing they did is they pre-installed fittings on the braided line so you don't have to make any lines yourself. These look really nice, and they're also branded with Grassroots' signature "G" so everything looks really nice.

Included with your sandwich plate so you can fix your oil filters is going to be two different threaded options.

Overall, it's a pretty simple and straightforward product. It looks good and Grassroots race-tests all of their products so you know this has seen the abuse and can handle it which is really nice. Grassroots offers a lot of cool stuff both universal and application specific. So, if you wanna learn more about them, check out grassrootsparts.com and be sure to tell Paul that we sent you.

It's important to know that Grassroots backs up these things with a limited lifetime warranty so you know if anything's wrong, you can reach out to the Grassroots guys and they will take care of you.
