Gunther Werks Drops a 1,000-hp Jet-Inspired 911 Restomod

Alright, strap in, Gunther Werks just threw down something wild at Monterey Car Week: Project F-26. More outrageous than anything they've done before, this carbon-fiber 911 restomod blends fighter-jet styling with hypercar performance, and yes—it's as nuts as it sounds.

What’s the Deal with the F-26?

  • Powerplant: A 4.0-liter, twin-turbo, air-cooled flat-six built with Rothsport Racing that cranks out a jaw dropping 1,000 hp and 750 lb-ft of torque.

  • Cooling Tech: Comes with a race-derived flat fan that doubles the cooling efficiency of a standard vertical fan, plus a carbon-fiber airbox, revamped intercooler plenum, and blow-off valves right in the intake system.

  • Looks & Build: Think classic slant-nose meets jet fighter. It channels the signature vibe of Porsche’s Slantnose models, but with a modern twist and it's dripping in carbon fiber.

  • Weight: All that fancy lightweight construction pays off, the car tips the scales at just 2,700 lbs (about 1,224 kg).

Under the Skin

  • Rocking a six-speed manual and limited-slip differential to throw all that torque to the rear wheels.

  • Massive Continental ExtremeContact Force tires (295/30 up front, 335/30 rear), a double-wishbone front suspension, JRZ adaptive dampers, upgraded traction control, and a wheelbase stretched by 30 mm to help tame the beast.

Why It’s a Big Deal

Only 26 units of the F-26 will ever exist, which makes it rare, but still way more accessible than the ultra-limited GWX (just three made, by invite only). So, if you’ve been craving something that blends vintage Porsche soul with absurdly modern fury, you might’ve just found it.
