Big sound can come in small packages thanks to the release of a new Mini Cooper dash kit from Metra Electronics for nearly all models 2007 and up.
The legendary subcompact was first introduced in England in 1959 and quickly became known for its charm, affordability and German engineering. The Mini Cooper was re-engineered and modernized by BMW in 2007. Options include lots of premium upgrades and packages, and now Mini Cooper owners can also get the stereo system they deserve.
Metra’s dash kit 99-9309 is designed for models 2007 and up (excluding only the 2007 and 2008 convertibles), as well as the Mini Cooper Clubman, 2009 and up. The kit includes DIN and DDIN provisions with storage pockets, climate control button covers and speedometer blank-out panels.
The large center stack panel has a custom texture to match the OEM finish, and installations can be done in both manual and auto-climate control models. Two sets of custom brackets and a separate pocket allow this kit to install both DIN and DDIN units.
The kit comes with all the necessary hardware to ensure a smooth, seamless finish, along with easy-to-follow instructions. The installation is made even easier with the BMRC-01 BMW/Mini Interface and the 40-EU10 European Antenna Adapter (2006 and up), both sold separately.
