When I think of the Nissan GT-R, I start to think of the Horsepower Wars. It's been a leading competitor; a lot of the drag racing guys going for world records and trying to keep up with those twin turbo Lambos. So there's a new competitor on the field, and it's not what most people are expecting either.
This is no ordinary Skyline GT-R from Croydon Racing Developments in Australia. This is now a record holder with a 3000-horsepower RB engine. It's in Pro Street Class, so yes - this car is street legal, if you want to call it that, and it's the factory chassis, which I imagine at this point is starting to twist a little bit.
So just recently they reset the record books twice. First, with a time of 6:48 and then a 6:37 crossing the line at 224 mph. This makes is the world's fastest and quickest Nissan GT-R. Nice. It also took some accolades as well - the Fastest Pro Street, the Fastest GT-R, Fastest Import Radial. All sorts of accomplishments. So, shout out to the guys at Croydon Racing Developments because this is absolutely insane.
Check them out on Instagram because they built all sorts of really cool stuff. This is just one of many.
As seen on PASMAG's Tuning 365 (Season 3 Episode 6) on REV TV.
