Rafael Leal originally purchased his 2013 Scion FR-S as a daily-driver back in 2013. It was only a few weeks later when he met William Chang of Concept 3 Performance, who helped Leal transition from his old domestic drag racing ways to the import scene. After attending some events together and spitballing ideas back and forth, Leal decided to heavily modify his car for the show circuit.
Over the past six years he has taken home multiple awards with various iterations of his build, and has been displayed at SEMA three years in a row. The current rendition of the car was brought together with some help from Giovanny Ayala and the Ayala family, who worked tirelessly with World Autobody to get the car ready for what might have been its final SEMA appearance.
Now modified in every possible area, and transformed from all angles, Leal is happy to share the stage with all of the people who stayed by his side during the build process over the years. We’re excited to see what’s next!
