One of our newest team members, Youssef Rahal, has an addiction to buying weird cars. When he got word of a potential barn find FC RX-7 within driving distance, he was already getting the trailer ready. Upon arrival at the seller's place, he was met with a pretty shocking discovery - the RX-7 had a 5.0 Coyote V8 swap from a fox-body Ford Mustang. He knew it wasn't running properly, thanks to transparency from the owner who had it passed down to them, but had no idea what we were getting into.
Eager to start a quick refresh, he ordered a new gasket kit for the engine, and called the team to come over and check it out as soon as possible. What we found on arrival was quite the surprise after immediately looking into it. Missing gaskets, wrong gaskets, cooked spark plugs, and so, so much more.
