Toyo Tires Proxes Sport A/S+ Ultra-High Performance All-Season Tire

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has launched the new Toyo Proxes Sport A/S+ ultra-high performance all-season tire, ideal for sports cars, CUVs, and SUVs. This next-generation tire offers improved wet traction while maintaining superior dry traction, thanks to an enhanced tread compound that also boosts fuel efficiency and extends tread life. The Proxes Sport A/S+ introduces a High Load (HL) capacity option for select sizes, catering specifically to heavier vehicles such as EVs, hybrids, and large SUVs.

Key features of the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S+ include an optimized asymmetric tread design with a high stiffness outer rib for enhanced cornering, higher sipe density inner ribs for better wet and dry braking, and light snow traction. The tire's ultra-high performance casing construction features stiff sidewalls, high tensile steel belts, and high hardness bead filler, ensuring improved handling and even contact pressure. The dynamic taper design enhances traction and handling, while multi-wave sipes reduce irregular wear for a quieter ride. Available in 80 sizes with 17- to 22-inch diameters, the Proxes Sport A/S+ will be available starting July 2024, with additional sizes and HL capacity options releasing later in 2024 and early 2025.

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. (Toyo Tires®) announces the new Toyo® Proxes® Sport A/S+ ultra-high performance all-season tire for sport cars, CUVs and SUVs. This next-generation tire improves wet traction while maintaining the superb dry traction of its predecessor, the Proxes® Sport A/S. The improved tread compound found in the Proxes Sport A/S+ boosts performance in wet conditions, lowers rolling resistance for better fuel and range efficiency, while maximizing tread life. A new High Load (HL) capacity option will be available in select sizes designed to meet the needs of heavier vehicles such as EVs, hybrids, and large SUVs.

Additional key features and benefits include an optimized asymmetric tread design featuring a high stiffness outer rib for enhanced cornering performance, along with higher sipe density inner ribs for improved wet and dry braking and competitive light snow traction. The Proxes Sport A/S+ also has an ultra-high performance casing construction with a stiff sidewall, high tensile steel belts, and high hardness bead filler, enhancing responsiveness and handling while delivering even contact pressure during acceleration, braking, and cornering. The dynamic taper design provides excellent traction and handling, enhancing wet and dry braking, while the multi-wave sipes minimize irregular wear for a quiet ride throughout the tire's life and improved wet and dry performance.

"Building on the success of its predecessor, this new tire offers drivers the performance they expect from an ultra-high performance tire with the added benefit of all-season reliability," said Kevin Arima, senior manager, consumer products, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. "Drivers seeking an exciting tire without compromising on tread life will appreciate the improvements in this model. Additionally, the wide range of sizes, including High-Load capacity options, accommodates the growing popularity of heavier vehicles, providing a significant advantage for both dealers and consumers."

The new Proxes Sport A/S+ tire will be produced in 80 sizes with 17- to 22-inch wheel diameters and W, Y, and (Y) speed ratings with fitments for sport cars, CUVs, and SUVs, while carrying a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty and a 45-Day/500-Mile Trial Offer. The first Proxes Sport A/S+ sizes will be available starting in July 2024. Additional planned sizes, including Toyo’s first High Load (HL) capacity tires, are planned to release later in 2024 and early 2025. Popular fitments include Audi cars and SUVs, BMW cars and SUVs, Ford Mustang and Mustang Mach-E, Nissan Z, Tesla Model 3, X, and Y, and the Toyota GR Supra.
