Choosing Custom Coilovers

There comes a time when you’re pushing the boundaries of what your car can do and “off-the-shelf” just won’t cut it anymore. As limits get pushed further and further out of spec, custom parts are needed to accommodate where enthusiasts want to take their builds. One such modification that has embraced customizability is suspension, which makes sense, since suitable suspension, whether for looks or performance, can make or break a build.

Nowadays, there’s so much choice out there, and it can be a little overwhelming to find what exactly is right for you. With that in mind, we chased down three separate suspension companies - BC Racing, MCA Suspension, and SCALE Suspension - all of which offer different sets of suspension for different builds, with their own unique twist on a spring and damper setup. Here’s a rundown of who we spoke to and how they answered.
