Wekfest Long Beach 2012

Hot off the heels of SF WEKFEST in February, WEKSOS kicked off their first tour stop and the Summer Season with WEKFEST LA. On June 2nd, the Queen Mary Events Center played host to thousands of spectators, enthusiasts, vendors, participants, and everyone in between. The venue is situated right along the Port of Long Beach, which only added to the visual beauty of the show cars that all had to pass through WEKFEST's screening process. Due to this process, the show has become synonymous with quality builds and a place where almost everyone has a camera in hand, eager to capture the latest trends.

The layout was noticeably different than last years, attributed to the staff being more familiar with the venue itself. The crowd was significantly larger than last years, drawing in people from all over California, the country, and even as far as Japan. There was a majority of US-styled VIP builds, with Lexus being the predominant manufacturer. This was in stark contrast to last years 350z dominated builds throughout the tour. WEKSOS is typically known for their Honda base but with WEKFEST they have stated their desire to be a place where, "enthusiasts can gather and share their love for all things Automotive." PAS MAG has been a mainstay throughout the 2011 tour, and if WEKFEST LA is any indication of the remainder of the 2012 WEKFEST tour, then we are going to have a blast.
