There are just so many FR-S, BRZ and 86 builds out there, and a lot of part offerings for them, but this v-mount intercooler setup sets it apart from the rest.
This 2014 Scion FR-S is owned by Derek Harvey from Edmonton, AB. The v-mounted intercooler setup makes this car extremely unique. With this one-off JDL low-mount v-mount kit and Garrett GTX 2867 Gen 2, Harvey achieves around 300 whp. Everything in the engine is pretty much custom. He had a bolt-on kit initially but blew up the stock motor then decided to go crazy from there.
He sourced out for the turbo kit locally and had all the piping and all the intercooler setup made. The intake manifold was shaved and powder coated. He added big injectors, big fuel pump and oil cooler. The driver’s headlight is a one-off - he made it out of cardboard initially then had a local guy make it out of carbon fiber.
As seen on PASMAG's Tuning 365 (Season 3 Episode 6) on REV TV.
